Decisions have been made and we have decided to move again.
Not until April next year when our lease runs out, but yeah.
This house is just not working out for us for a number of reasons
I am sick to death of having to juggle my appliance usage and blowing fuses because every power point in the house is wired into one circuit. It wasn’t too bad during winter, but during summer when we have fans and air con going trying to keep the house cool, it’s happening 3 times a day on average at the moment. It’s a real problem and a real pain in the butt.
Add into that, this house is easy to heat, but not so easy to cool making the extra fans a necessity.
Meantime all the blown fuses mean that our desktop PC has been abruptly shut off more times that I can count and is now playing up.
And not all the windows have fly screens, so we can open them for cross breezes but only if we want to get eaten alive!
Then there is all the foot traffic. It would seem that our street is part of the track to some of the more feral areas of town and there are some very undesirables walking around at all hours of the day and night. And not just past our front door, but up and down the rear lane. If we were a block or two further north, south or east we’d be fine, but this block just isn’t and I don’t feel completely comfortable. Especially when there are screaming matches at 2am in the morning as ferals stagger home from the pub via our rear lane.
And I resent not being able to open up the front door of an evening to try to let in some cool air (when there is some) but can’t unless I’m in one of the front rooms because the farkin thing won’t even latch, let alone lock and my request for repairs has yet to be attended to.
And it turns out that the real estate agents managing the place are asshats picking at things they have no business picking at and not being diligent in their responsibilities to us as tenants.
Good thing I never really got settled in here properly!
I think I must have known that this house was a very temporary stop over. I’ve still got around 1/4 of the boxes from the last move shoved up on cupboards as yet still unpacked. lol
April is only 4 months away…..better get busy looking. It’ll be here before you know it otherwise. I hope you find something that suits perfectly this time. Shame to leave the veggie patch though, but you can start again somewhere new.

well, the vegie patch was half killed off by that damn heatwave in november. I’m thinking I need to sort out some big pots or planters so that part of my vege patch can be more mobile. I’m hoping the next house is a better fit too.

rofl! You remembered to put ‘Mabs’ on mine so I knew who it was from lol. I’ve sent one back, but I’m really not sure when it will get there with our postal strikes going on.
Well, if mamma ain’t happy ain’t nobody happy, so yeah, moving on is not so bad. Here’s to hoping you find the perfect place this time.
there are ways and means of getting out of a lease if you want to babe.
What you have said here is probably enough.

it will probably take that long for us to find a new place. What we require (4 bedrooms) is in short supply
Fingers crossed you find the place you want and the new landlords are much better than the old.
