PSLS went to the doctors today about his cough, rattly chest and pains.
Like I tried to tell him – he has heart burn and his cough is hanging around because he’s a smoker.
He got some new medication to try to quit smoking (YAY!) but the doc wants him to have a blood test to try to help figure out what’s causing the heart burn.
PSLS squirms at the idea of blood tests.
PSLS is scared of needles.
The doctor gives him his ‘official diagnosis’ – he’s a big baby!
Officially confirming what we all already knew!
lmfao

lol. Aren’t all men when it comes to this stuff?
Good luck to PSLS with the tests.

He came home whining about the huge gaping hole in his arm! *rolls eyes*
ROFL.
Men are always sicker, in more pain and get less sympathy when they are sick. It is a rule or something :p

I don’t think it is humanly possible to give less sympathy than he does to others when they are sick so he deserves as little as he gives lol
hopefully its nothing scary serious. is it that champix(?) stuff ? it’s supposed to be amazingly good. i wish with every fibre of my being that the beloved would quit smoking. he thinks i’m nagging him to death. truthfully, i love him and am terri-fucking-fied of him dying. ungrateful asshole. LOL

I don’t think it’s anything serious. Yes the champix stuff. I’ve heard it’s good. He’s tried before with Zyban but that didn’t work for him. I think he’s only doing it because I’ve been nagging him of late, but for the same reasons you are lol! I mean who’s going to care for me when I’m old and crippled by arthritis if he’s already carked it from smoking? lmao
best of luck..

the kids were disgusted with his fussing………… especially since they had their flu shots yesterday without any carry on. They gave him shit all evening about it lol
My sister is equally terrified of needles, yet once when she had her flu shot, her arm was so painful, (according to her), that she went back to the doctor for another needle, a painkiller….
Hope the tests don’t find anything serious. Would it help him to quit smoking if you started telling him he smells like an unwashed ashtray?

lol
Yeah flu shots can be painful.
I’m not going to give him too hard a time about smoking. Nothing worse than a reformed smoking getting on another smokers case about quitting. He has to do it because he wants to not because I want him to.
What is it with men and needles? Not too sure how they’d go if they had to have babies…
Oh, that’s right! There would be zero population growth!
It amuses me no end that they can throw a piece of electrical tape around a gaping wound from a screwdriver, but sook when it comes to a little jab?

You’re absolutely right. If childbirth was a man’s business there’d be no children.
Hey Bettina,
Gee I hope he feels better. It’s good to get at the source of the heartburn because it can turn into acid reflux which can really cause some problems. Promise him a lolly if he gets his blood tests.

He had his blood tests on the day – came home complaining about the gaping hole in his arm! pffft!
My dad has a really bad reflux problem that makes him gag while he’s still trying to eat some days. We are definitely getting onto this.
Oh I love the official diagnosis! Too funny! I do hope he is able to quit smoking because you will all be better off in the long run. I know from experience that it isn’t easy, but if I can do it so can anyone! Sending good thoughts and energy your (and his) way!

I quit about 5 years ago and my health has thanked me for it ever since. He’s just starting to experience not being able to shake colds quickly as a result of his smoking so I’m hoping he’s well on his way to deciding that he really does want to quit this time.
That said – he doesn’t smoke in the house or near the kids, he’s good about that.
Thanks
