Screw Up Tuesday

A minor assortment this week of forgotten books, misplaced shoes and bungled appointment books………… Nothing dramatic or earth shattering this week……………. Unless you are the SWIL.Yes she’s back, bigger and dumber than ever!

After trying to use the upcoming release of her scumbag ex from jail (for trying to drown her in the bathtub last year) as an excuse not to move back to town with the kids so that my brother can have his court ordered part of the week with them and failing, the SWIL thought she had come up with a plan. Or two.

First she told my bro that she’d get (another one of) her ex to cause trouble for him with his g/f who is her ex’s ex.  Confused yet? All sounds rather incestuous doesn’t it? lol My bro is currently seeing (dating) a chick who’s ex partner SWIL had an affair with last year (contributing in part to their break up).

When that didn’t work cos my bro just laughed in her face she rang her recently released ex and somehow got him to visit her house.

Now I dunno about you, but if I had an ex who I couldn’t control myself around, who pushed me into fits of rage, who had gotten me locked up a few times – the last time being for the better part of a year – and I was out on probation ……… I wouldn’t be going anywhere near them! This guy is obviously really desperate or really fucking dumb cos he went up there. They had a fight, she called the cops, he is now back in jail.

So yesterday she spent the better part of the afternoon trying to convince my brother, my father and my mother that our town wasn’t safe for her and the kids trying to gain permission to go back to the coast with her current screw just in case her ex gets released on Wednesday after a court hearing.

She even sank so low as to get the kids on the phone to my brother trying to force them to say that they were scared and wanted to get out of town.

Now she’s obviously really desperate and really fucking dumb to try this.  The family court takes a very dim view of parent’s who try to involve  the kids in custody matters and who try to manipulate the court.

The long and the short of it is that she got nowhere with my parents who bluntly told her that the kids would be safe anywhere that they weren’t with her (I laughed my arse off when they told me this!) and my bro waved the court orders under her nose. So she handed the kids over and left for the week on her own.

I’m not going to make excuses for any  man who lays hands on any woman – her ex deserves to be locked up for the things he’s done. And given that he was out on probation for assaulting her and that probation would have included conditions about staying out of trouble and staying away from her, the odds are he’s going back inside to serve out the remainder of the original jail term.

But we all know and she knows that she set him up and provoked what happened last week deliberately to try to get her own way about taking the kids away from my brother because after all, if she doesn’t have the kids to hold over him then she can’t control him any longer.

Her insistence that she needed to leave town ‘in case’ he got out on Wednesday really does raise a few questions for me………… the biggest one being “What is going to come out at the hearing on Wednesday?”. She’s usually only this desperate when she’s fucked up and knows it.

It will be an interesting couple of months. After being ordered back to town the next court hearing isn’t till next school holidays and we don’t think she’ll last that long without trying to take off again and she’ll be in big trouble when she does.
