Screw Up Tuesday

So yesterday I noticed that the council were out doing something down the other end of our street when I went to pick CJ up from school at morning tea time (she wasn’t feeling well – all better now). On our return I noticed that they were a bit closer to our end of the block.

I needed to go back out again to find some suitable things to cook for tea in my new slow cooker but figured that I should have time to get back before the council are up our end of the street.

Well I figured wrong.

I get back from the supermarket with my chicken drumsticks and other stuff to find that the tar truck and gravel truck are right in front of our house and I can’t even get into our street, let alone my driveway.

The young fella on the lollipop doing traffic control tells me that I’ll just have to wait till they are finished, then the foreman starts giving me shit. I give him a middle finger salute which shocks the young lollipop dude before explaining that his foreman is my father.

Dad waits for the trucks to get out of the way then tells me to jump the curb and drive down the footpath to my driveway and it would be rude of me to disobey my father so I did just that.

So much for having to wait lollipop dude! lol

Not sure what the neighbours thought of my cross country driving! lmao
