The kid’s school newsletter says it is week 7.
Week 7
Feels like they only started back at school a month ago – not nearly 2 months ago!
Everyone seems to be playing catch up constantly.
Trying to catch up on sleep, catch up on homework, catch up on room cleaning, catch up with extended family, catch up on blogging, catch up on…… well…… everything.
Even hubby’s work hasn’t had it’s usual post Christmas slow season this year.
Finding time to spend together as a family just hasn’t been a real happening thing.
Everyone is tired, cranky and run down.
TJ is home sick today. He’s not that sick that he’s languishing in bed or vomiting all over the house, but he’s sick enough to get sent back home from school had I sent him. It’s a little bug that has at times been leaving him tired, with a temp, a little queasy and headachey and that he just can’t seem to shake off.
So we are hanging out for the day, having a slow day, playing a little Wii Play, reading the next chapters of The Magician’s Nephew, listening to a little Cold Chisel, watching a little Eragon and having a little nap………… while keeping up the paracetamol and fluids.
No, it’s not just you.
I can’t believe it is March already !!!!
Hope TJ is feeling better and you find space to slow down and take a breather.

Sounds like you might all need a boost. A few weeks of multi-vitamins or something, just as a pick-up. The extreme weather and all the bushfires stress has taken its toll on most of the country it seems.

I think you’re right there. I’ve put everyone on vitamins to help boost their immune systems.
The year of awesome is just getting the crap outta the way real quick like.

Do we really want the year of awesome to get out of the way quickly? What follows the year of awesome? The year of equally craptacular crap?
Hell yeah!
Since I started working back here instead of the big smoke, we have had something on every single weekend D has had off and at least half the weekends he’s been working. When I had a few days off, it was 43C every single day.
Over it.
Need a holiday!

OMG let me count the ways I can relate to this post!!
It seems the week starts one minute, I blink and it’s Friday. Ordinarily I don’t wish time to pass, but with the plans we have this year, I’m not heart broken in some ways if that makes sense?
I always remember people telling me that when you turn 21, life flies, and they were right, so I guess it’s not a new thing, but still, it can be pff putting to think about what the hell we do with our time can’t it?
